On the 12th day of xmouse..

Hi oh loyal and faithful pals..

Its been a while, and for this I can only apologise. I have been busy. Very busy, mainly working in an horrendous job, which was slowely sucking the life from me and the drawing muscles from my right arm, but after a year and two weeks, i have escaped! YAY!

So, now, I am all yours!

I am currently a small part (day 12) of the christmas advent calendar now showing at the Fishmarket Art Gallery in Northampton which is all very exciting, and means I randomly get to sing...

"On the twelfth day of Christmas,
my true love sent to me
Twelve drummers drumming,
Eleven pipers piping,
Ten lords a-leaping,
Nine ladies dancing,
Eight maids a-milking,
Seven swans a-swimming,
Six geese a-laying,
Five golden rings,
Four calling birds,
Three French hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a reindeer in a pear tree..."

OK, so the last bit is rubbish, but I hope you enjoy my picture more..

Pretty please.

Thanks a bunch, and I'll be back with you soon

For a competition, which I didn't read the entry requirements to, and now am kicking myself for missing out.

But the show must go on and this is what I created..

(I apologise to Pete for his slightly wonky eye, which could add character?!)

OOOh. Bootsale fun.

I went to a bootsale last weekend. Had a lovely yet tiring time walking up and down, up and down (freaking enormous bootsale - took me at least 2 hours to get around). Anyway, I found a beautiful old cabinet (from the tip, not the bootsale) - glass doors and shelves, mirrored back, and a general picture of beauty, so thought I’d better fill it with some equally beautiful finds. Here are photos of those finds, some old salt and pepper shakers, pre 80s milk bottles and oh, not pictured, some Dr martens shoes which I have been searching the web for since Christmas. £3! I'd actually like to take this moment to thank the man who sold me the shoes, and thank his oversized thick feet that couldn't quite squeeze into them! And also the man at the tip who generously risked his job to exchange the cabinet for a measly £6 as that’s all my purse contained – I’m a haggler don’t you know… Who would?!

A good day. Early starts are not always bad!

REAL old drawings...

This is a fish.

I found some drawings I did some time ago from uni and the fish I have done since, but still a while back now. Anyway, I thought I'd share them with ya'll as otherwise they are stuck between books on my bookshelf where no one can see them, and the point of drawing them has gone... Oh dear.

A frilly shirt..

A denim skirt..

And some roses...

I hope you enjoyed my journey into the past.

Tea towel's FOR SALE!!

My next amusement in life is to play with t shirts…

To do this, I have made myself a promise, a promise that must and will be achieved.

My aim, with your help, is to sell the last few tea towels, at reduced price of course (£5 +p&p). So today I ask you this; can you really dry up anymore without a KAWCANDRAW horsey printed tea towel caressing your china and polishing your crystal glasses?

Answer me that, then say your hello’s at the usual place

Keep it real (&buy a tea towel!)

Hello. Hello.

A Happy New Year to you all.

It has been a while, for which I apologise, but, with a full time job, stealing my life from me, motivation is hard to come by, and creativity has been slung to the back burner…

Aside from mind-blowing admin work, I am still going, still plugging away, trying to make KAW a household name, at a snail’s pace of course, but I am slowly getting back on track, pulling my finger from my arse – someone crude may say, developing concepts, grabbing any Illustration work and competitions I can get my mitts on.

Through entering a million and one illustration competitions last year, my hard work was finally recognised when I was asked by Figtree – – a creative consultancy, to produce a self portrait, of myself, which would then be judged to see if I was up to the job, and enough in keeping with their previous artists. Unfortunately I was not – but, my self portrait will not and must not be wasted, and can be seen below!

Also over the Christmas period, I had my work displayed as limited edition wrapping paper in the NO:ID gallery in London, through Frinton Press. I received some stunning feedback, including the news of having sold out of said limited edition prints, and the exhibition being a huge success. Pictures from the opening night can be found

For now, I am keeping up my work place with The Other Side Magazine, who are set to be big in 2010. Find them here and look out for their up and coming mag and Best Of edition coming to the streets of London, and you, soon.

I use this opportunity to proudly announce KAW’s Cuisine (formerly known as KAW’s Christmas Cuisine) is still up and running and after a successful month of sales, have now decided to have a January sale. So, I have tea towels and prints left to sell. At discount prices of course, so if you’re interested, and are willing to fund me to produce more natty little things, please hola at KAW…

Ready and waiting...
